Hello, this is Laden,

Thank you for visiting my web site and welcome!

I am a life coach working with individuals and groups in the beautiful city of Istanbul.  I started as a coach who worked only with Turkish people. After coaching close friends and acquaintances for a while, I realized that there is not a life coach working particularly with foreign people. So, this led  me to gradually offer the service of life coaching to expats in Turkey.

Turkey offers several pleasures: the breath-taking geography, the incredible food, the friendly people…  But the many stories I heard from expats showed me that life can be hard when you live in a  foreign city with an entirely different culture. How many times have you tried to say something in Turkish and received a blank stare in return? How many times have you got an awkward stare as you were walking down the street?

Expats encounter lots of difficulties while living in Turkey. Handling relationships can be different when you’re abroad. You may miss the people back home, or you may miss your home itself.  Other issues also come up, such as deciding how long to stay in Turkey, finding an appropriate job, making new friends, and adjusting to a new work culture. So, I am here to help as you try to navigate your life during your time living here.

“Be afraid not of growing slowly, be afraid only of standing still.” ―Chinese proverb

Before discussing  how I can help you, there are some points I need to highlight on what you should NOT expect from me.

I am not a counselor or a mentor. If you need to hear advice, do not waste time with a life coach. I will not tell you what you should do because I KNOW that you have this knowledge within you.

I am not a psychologist or a  psychiatrist. So I can not help you quit smoking or cure your obsessive-compulsive disorder. For such cases you should see a medical professional.

If you are looking for someone to help you explore the best places, pubs, etc in the city, find a nice Turkish friend or check some websites. As a life coach, my goal is not to show you the shortcuts to living in Turkey.

I do not have a magic wand that I can use to change your life, as I am not a wizard. Coaching is a process that you should be responsible and patient with. I will not be checking one-by-one what you are doing. Your personal development is your responsibility. If you are looking for a personal assistant or someone hanging around astral levels, I am not the one.

SO how will I be of help?

I will listen to you, not only to hear what you mean, but also to understand what lies beneath. With you, I will try to find the barriers or beliefs that prevent you from doing or achieving what you want. This will lead you to fulfilling your potential.

I will not ask you WHY, I will discuss with you HOW.

I will help you determine and increase your satisfaction level from your life, profession, relationships, and your work performance. Coaching is a scientific and proven method which is accepted by individuals and corporate firms, and I will use my extensive experience and intuition to help you achieve your goals.

Having a life coach is building  a path toward a happier life. On this path, I will walk along with you. But remember, you will be the one taking action!

If you want to find more about me pls continue reading…

I have always been a curious, progressive and a hard-working person since my childhood. After spending great times in Bursa Anatolian High School, i went to Eskişehir to study Business Administration. Times spent there was even nicer! But i always had Istanbul in mind. So i moved to Istanbul and worked in textiles industry for ten years, doing denim, jackets, skirts… I was loving my business, but something was still missing. Touching the fabrics, playing with the beads and developing, producing nice garments for major brands was a great feeling. But i realised that i want to touch people instead. Helping to develop one’s life would be much more satisfying than developing a jacket. I should have been a Life Coach!
